After one of the most dramatic weekends of the year, the Gloucester-based Smiths Triumph Racing Team duly wrapped up their second Motorpoint British Supersport Championship win in three years when Australian ace Billy McConnell secured the title at Brands Hatch today.

Houston, TX – HSBK pilot, Dustin Dominguez, went into the final round of the AMA Pro SuperSport season with fierce determination. The clean sweep at MidOhio made for three straight race wins for Dominguez who headed into the final round 2014 AMA Pro SuperSport Championship trailing 1st place by only 2-points.

Hitachi Construction Machinery UK KTM wrapped the 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship with star rider Shaun Simpson cursing his luck at the last possible stage of the GP campaign. The Scot placed fourteenth overall at the Grand Prix of Leon, the seventeenth and final round of the year, after a second race crash led to a DNF and he rested in seventh place for the season in what was a close battle for the last slot in the top five of the MXGP standings.

The AirAsia Caterham Moto Racing Team were rewarded with their second podium of the season with rider Johann Zarco claiming third place at Misano. Starting from sixth on the grid, the Frenchman showed his strength from the start. Determined not to let the front riders go, Zarco pushed hard to run with the leaders, maintaining a strong pace and holding his third position until the chequered flag. Newcomer to the team Ratthapark Wilairot struggled off the line, but pushed throughout the twenty six lap race to achieve his fastest time of the weekend and bring the Caterham Suter home in twenty third place.
