Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM’s Shaun Simpson scored his best result of the season so far with fifth position overall at Valkenswaard for the Grand Prix of Europe. The fifth round of the FIM MXGP campaign thankfully escaped much of the forecasted rain and 32,600 spectators remained dry around the flat but roughed dark, Dutch sand.

The Grand Prix of Trentino at a packed Pietramurata circuit meant a weekend of survival for the MXGP and MX2 line-ups of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM UK squad. Shaun Simpson took his 450SX-F to twelfth overall in the premier class and continues his quiet but steady start to 2015 while Petar Petrov and Ben Watson walked away from a rough and deceptive hard-pack terrain with points and fourteenth and twentieth in MX2.

One of the hottest Grand Prix events in recent memory created expectedly hard racing conditions at the second round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The Thailand Circuit in Nakhonchaisri – located in the flat plains of the region to the west of Bangkok – cooked to the temperature of almost forty degrees.

Ryan Villopoto clinched victory for the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team in stifling heat at the Nakhonchaisri raceway, which hosted the Thai round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship. The ten times US champion showed an immediate liking for the man-made track 35 miles west of the Thai capital Bangkok as he won the qualification race by an amazing 33 seconds as the hard work of midweek suspension testing in Europe paid dividends.
